VHS to Digital is a local service. We convert VHS footage into digital video files. VHS transfers happen in our Pennsylvania office.
Local families can finally digitize their VHS library without needing to ship their tapes out of town! VHS to Digital PA clients are also not overcharged (a flat rate per tape) like our competition does. Instead, clients are rewarded with discounts for high volume transfers!

Our Process
1.
Understand
Before transferring your VHS footage into digital video files, we want to know what’s important to you.
2.
Protect
We protect the privacy and valuables of our clients. We also do not hold onto tapes that we are not actively transferring.
3.
Digitize
Our local offices in State College, Pennsylvania digitizes VHS footage in real time. Digital files are transferred in 640×480 aspect ratio.
4.
Deliver
Video files are delivered securely in two methods. First, we deliver downloadable files to one person via e-mail. We also deliver a thumb-drive with all the footage.
How are VHS video files delivered after digital transfer
We provide a thumb-drive with copies of the files and also deliver the high quality video files on Dropbox. Clients do not need a Dropbox subscription to download their files.
How much does it cost to digitize VHS footage?
The cost to digitize VHS footage depends on how many tapes you have and how much footage is on the tapes. There is a $25 base fee that covers a (16GB) thumb-drive to ensure a physical copy of the files is delivered. We also include a 30 day window for Dropbox delivery on the cloud.

*There is a $5 dollar minimum cost per VHS tape, $8 minimum per VHS-C tape.
If you have television programming on a tape and want us to digitize that to monitor for family footage, we can do that. However, the “max cost per tape” courtesy will not apply. The cost to digitize that material will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

“We had 25-30 year old VHS and VHS-C video tapes (44) of our family and decided to get them converted to digital, aka mp4, so that our children would have a copy and be able to view them. We searched online and found all the usual suspects where you ship the tapes via post, get them converted, and get the tapes and USB sticks or DVDs back. We didn’t feel that we could risk shipping our precious memories via post, so we looked for a more in-person approach.
